2012 Deja Vu Festival
Feat. Edens Edge
When they look back on this year, new country trio Edens Edge can scarcely believe all the wonderful things that happened for them in their first year their music received national exposure.
"We went out on our first major tour with Brad Paisley, then we got to go out with Reba," Hannah Blaylock touches on just a couple of their accomplishments.
"Now we're on the road with Lady Antebellum," adds Cherrill Green. "When we were out with Reba, we saw what a professional she is, but we also saw that she really cares about people. She taught us a lot."
"And we made our debut on the Grand Ole Opry, at the Ryman, in March," Hannah says, adding "Brad Paisley was so sweet to come out and introduce us that night and that meant so much to us."
In introducing the trio, Brad told the Opry audience, "I really like this next group. The head of their record label (Scott Borchetta of the Big Machine Label Group) played them for me late last year after I was asking him if he had anyone he wanted me to take out with me on tour. He said, 'Listen to these guys,' and one song was all it took for me. I said, 'They've got to go out with us'."
"We have learned a lot from being on the road with these folks," Dean Berner says of the group's 2011 tour partners. "We learned so much about being onstage from Brad and Reba, about what a show is and how to entertain the crowd. You just can't learn things like that until you are actually there, in that situation, and have the opportunity to study their show every night. Brad was so encouraging and he was great to be out with on that first major tour."
Cherrill, Dean and Hannah all hail from Arkansas, where their love for music led them to find one another and form Edens Edge. They released their debut single, 'Amen,' earlier this year. The threesome signed their recording contract with Big Machine after they performed in honor of their mentor, Kye Fleming, when she was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame a few years ago.
"Big Machine is like a family to us," Hannah says. "They have been so supportive of us."
While they are winding down their year with Lady Antebellum, Edens Edge is already looking ahead to 2012.
"We hope that our songs get played more on radio and we hope to see more people singing our songs back to us in concert," says the group of their goals for the new year.

The Déjà vu Festival has been in existence for quite some time on the campus of Davis & Elkins College. This will be the thirty second year. It started as a “last blast” for the students and has become one of the premiere festivals in the state of West Virginia. Artists such as Dierks Bentley, Flogging Molly, Lee DeWyze, O.A.R., Rahzel of The Roots, Reel Big Fish, Thompson Square, Vanilla Ice, and Wale have all graced the Déjà vu stage.

Riding high with their win as "Sprint Favorite New Artist" at the American Music Awards and the release of their brand new album "Whatever" in stores last week, pop sensation Hot Chelle Rae has just announced their 33 + date headlining tour kicking off February 10th in Metarie, LA and wrapping May 5th in Atlanta, GA.
Hot Chelle Rae's brand new album "Whatever" features their two irresistible pop hit singles "Tonight Tonight" and "I Like It Like That" - other album highlights include "Why Don't You Love Me," featuring pop solo artist Demi Lovato, quirky break-up song "Honestly," finger-snapper "Radio" (featuring rising rapper Bei Maejor), be-yourself anthem and tour name "Beautiful Freaks," and the title track, the "three in the air and you just don't care" anthem for the now generation "Whatever." The band followed it up with "I Like It Like That," which Entertainment Weekly called "bubbly elasti-funk" and an "official fall-resisting battle cry." "I Like It Like That," which features hip-hop duo New Boyz, is climbing the Top 40 and Hot AC radio charts, while the song's documentary-style video racked up over 1 million views in its first 3 days on VEVO. Hot Chelle Rae will also embark on an Australian arena tour in March 2012 opening for Taylor Swift in the midst of their US dates announced today.
The band recently performed on the American Music Awards (pre-show), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Live with Kelly!, Late Night With Jimmy Fallon, and are scheduled to perform at Z100's Jingle Ball '11 on December 9th, the CBS Early Show December 10th and Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2012 live from Times Square.
Hot Chelle Rae is lead singer/guitarist Ryan Follese, lead guitarist Nash Overstreet, bassist Ian Keaggy and drummer Jamie Follese.
